BCA's Signature Small Group Training Sessions allow you to maximize your reps while receiving immediate feedback from BCA's Elite Coaching Staff.
BCA's 1:1 Private Sessions pair you with a coach who can help you dial in a certain aspect of your game. Whether it's just building self-confidence, working on 1:1 dodging, or correcting technique -- our coaches have the solution.
The draw position can single handedly change the outcome of a game but it requires specialized training that players don't usually get in practice. Come learn from some of the best who to ever do it!
Speed & Agility Training but with lacrosse skills and techniques still involved. It's an opportunity to work on your speed, explosiveness, agility, and power -- but our sessions still allow you to get dodging, shooting, and touches on the ball -- plus lacrosse-specific coaching!
In recent years, the girls game has become faster, more explosive, and more skillful than ever before. It’s a game that requires dodging with a purpose, creativity with the stick, and hitting your spot on shots.
The Girl’s Academy was, at the core of it, founded by our female athletes. They asked for it and helped us build it. It was started because young female athletes wanted to take their game to the next level and they demanded a program that challenged their existing skillsets. Thus, they challenged us (BCA), to come up with a dynamic program that would rapidly evolve their skills and help them become better and more complete lacrosse players. So, we’ve since set out on that mission….
We have a few key principles and promises we deliver to our athletes and their families:
REPS, REPS AND MORE REPS
We believe the best way for young athletes to rapidly improve their game is through meaningful repetition. Even in the most offensive-minded team practice, a player might be lucky to get 10-15 meaningful dodges or quality shots. It’s simply not enough. At BCA, our athletes will see anywhere from 125-200 shots in an hour. It would take a month to see that many reps in a team practice.
FAST-PACED, ENERGETIC AND PASSIONATE
We design our sessions to be fast-paced, energetic, and passionate. We often pump in music to maximize the energy. We design practice plans so the girls can work on several skillsets at a time. You will see our athletes working on agility, learning the art of setting up a defender, dodging, catching in tight, faking, shooting, defending, and competing in a single session.
MISTAKES ARE WELCOME HERE
Mistakes are welcome here. If a young athlete is practicing hard, doing things fast, challenging their off-hand, they need to feel comfortable in making those inevitable mistakes. We do our best to foster that environment and make them comfortable while pushing their limits.
SMALL GROUPS = NO STANDING AROUND
At BCA, we believe team practices are great for preparing a group of athletes for a game or tournament. Team practices are a time to focus on offensive sets, defensive packages, redefending and clearing strategy, and specialized situations. But it’s really hard for coaches to give athletes the reps they need to develop as an individual, and it’s even harder for that coach to work on a player’s fundamentals. At BCA, we believe our small group training model allows our instructors to work with individual players to fix their fundamentals, strengthen their off-hand, or whatever it is that specific athlete needs.
Oh, and we hate waiting in long lines! That’s why people love Amazon Prime and BCA. As a parent, that’s one of the most painful things to watch from the sideline. Your kid. Waiting in a long line. Just to get their chance at a single rep. Well, there’s none of that at BCA. It’s one hour of maximized time!
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT BCA
“By the way, after her Navy Camp, I asked her what she liked better, that or BCA, without hesitation she said BCA!”
